I've missed this place. The smilies on my phone just aren't as good.

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?! Do you realize that in the time i've been off the ZT forum i've actually started painting Warhammer models again out of boredom! (I'm happy that the forum is back)

We've all been really, really busy getting the new issue off to the printers and tweaking various things, such as this delightful new forum. Not that I can take the glory for its design, though it all took a little longer than anticipated. Worth the wait I hope.
Will post the new cover up in the next couple of days... It's a good 'un.
Lots more tweaks to follow...

The new design looks good. I'm liking the way it fits more in with the style of the mag. The quick navigation buttons at the top are also a welcome edition.
Grats on the design.

i'll get in there first, since i produced the design for this new forum. - all phpBB forums look somewhat "alike" since they are all based on the same system - the zt forum has a completely different template, one which i have helped develop over the last few months - we re-skinned the entire forum with custom graphics, artwork, colours, images and code and rejigged the database to improve a great many aspects of the forum - the thumbnail system at the top is my own creation and i've not seen one on a phpBB forum anywhere else - many other invisible code-based things have been added, removed or changed to improve the usability of the forum. it's not an "out of the box" template and is far more complex and functional than on "the other forum". in short, it looks like "the other forum" insofar as it is... a forum. and that is all therefore you are due one of these:

without getting into major technical areas basically avatars this size are there for very good reasons, not least of which are to maintain forum stability and database integrity. the forum, like the magazine, is "set out" in a consistent and clean design to maintain this. there were a great many database tweaks that needed to be performed to get this to work, which i can't take the credit for, but i know were a huge amount of hard work. in short if they were bigger the whole forum wouldn't work, either on a technical or "design" level. no hammer for you this time
