the refill tom refers to is the Reason Drum Kits refill.. it's pretty expensive and i can almost guarantee you wouldn't be able to download it. It's worth it though... I still haven't got round to making my own sampler patches because the ones it comes with are so bloody good (and it's tedious). The multisampling's pretty nuts... i think it's somewhere around 70 samples assigned to each key so if you do a roll or whatever it never triggers the same sample 2 times in a row and the dynamics you can pull off with shaping the velocity are actually convincing because it's not just the same sample being played at a different volume.. it's a sample specific to that velocity level so if it's quiet it's actually a sample of someone hitting a drum lightly. I'm going on a bit now... but fucking get it.. people never realise my drums are programmed till I tell them.

I would recommend leafDrums as it's free, customisable and easy to use. You need to download or record your own short WAVs for (at least) the bass drum and snare, as the preset bass and snare WAVs which come with the program are shit, but once that's all set up, it works a treat. Things can get a bit tricky when you're changing time signatures, but it's easy to work it out if you know what you're doing.
Goto:
Then search on:
Tick WAVs only, then search for 'Snare' or 'Bass drum'.
Save your favourite WAVs into the appropriate folder in the leafDrums folder on your Program Files.
