I know this thread must have been done on here before because of the sheer age of the board (guessing it's as old as the mag) so if you want to nuke it, no harm done.
Just thought I'd seek out other people's dodgiest guilty pleasures musicwise. I know there's the whole argument of not being ashamed of anything you like blah blah, which I'm an advocate of, but I'm still curious as I relish the ability of people that can go from listening to blistering black metal one moment to say Portishead the next. Kind of shows the depth of integrity sadly lacking in more mainstream circles, not to mention obliterating the disdain heavy metal is treated with in general.
Anyway before I ramble too much, my guiltiest pleasures =
The Very Best (Radioclit + Esau Mwamwaya = this) Vampire Weekend (at least, the second album. Not heard the first one. Only bothered with the second after getting in The Very Best, who the VW singer guested on) Gossip Enya Enigma
and probably a whole lot more...

Whats to be guilty about Enya? Metal makes up around 15% of my music collection.

I was thinking maybe owning Will Smith's 'Gettin Jiggy With It' was a bit ropey but then I put it on and it's still fun!

I must learn to stop singing along to the cheesy as fuck songs that occasionally come on at work mainly out of boredom, generally because it convinces the customers I'm an absolute mentalist.... especially when Black Eyed Peas 'Feeling' or whatever it's called brings out my inner jew as soon as they say "Mozzeltoff" (yes I know I can't spell it) and I start telling people "eh you looks a leetle meshuggah! whadda ya gonna do?!"

Rhapsody's Dawn Of Victory. It's soooooo shit, but still there's about 4 songs on it I cackle and smile and bounce about whenever they're on. Having been in a club and joined in with about 40 people air guitaring and spinning on their backs during the solo of Holy Thunderforce is a classic moment. They really are fucking awful

^ Yeh Rhapsody are pretty ridiculous, though they do have a few good songs in their arsenal which get me going. It's a pity the rest isn't much to talk about and tht their level of cheese-factor is...above Manowars?

Fuck 'em. Seriously, I'm surprised I didn't lamp some of the arseholes I had this weekend. If they weren't being complete twats they were complete morons (ie having to have it explained to them the difference between a CD and a DVD or even weirder "is that a DVD mate?" "Um, yes, that's why there's TWO discs in the case and there's a big word on the back saying DVD.")
I have no idea what song it is but I inexplicably found myself humming "loving you is easy cause you're beautiful..." no idea who it is... Kate Bush?
</random>
Have to add another slightly guilty pleasure in the form of Angelique Kidyo. One of those creepers that you wouldn't normally listen to unless you were in a confined space and only chose to listen to it over yet another fucking play of Biffy bastard Clyro.
