I agree that laws stating that people can't just go about attacking people whom they take a disliking to should be tougher, however I signed petition because anybody who dresses or believes in anything outside the mainstream (despite doing nothing to interfere with it) are at particular risk from those who don't like to see people not conforming to their narrow mental framework. Wether you like the term or not attacking somebody because of the way they dress and spend their time is a hate crime. I'm not saying that goths or metalheads or other 'musical' types are special or above other people in any way, but they are targets for scum.

What about the fact they are scum themselves?
I've been to many a live shows/metal night and got plenty of abuse due to the fact i've not dressed in the way that is stereotypical to the 'scene.'
To be fair i've probably encountered more issues with 'goths/alternative' than i have with 'chavs' and when going to DnB nights you encounter alot of them.

What ever subculture people belong to there is always a handful that make it seem alot worse than it is and those are the ones that seem to wrongly represent them.
Alternative people hate chavs, chavs hate alternative people, metal heads hate emos etc... Sure you all seen in the news of late about the anti-emo riots in mexico (if not say and i'll link up).
The school shootings that happen all over America and other countries are normally put across as teens loving metal, doesn't mean that people who like metal are about to flip out and kill.

This alternative metal subculture is so far up itself it is quite sickening, people generally think they are better than other people due to the fact that they can like something that is not so mainstream, they are wrong.

You are not the music you listen to.


Rockers/metalheads/rave fans/jazz fans/any music genre fan are all assholes and saints.
