I had a dream recently about a reality TV show where 5 contestants would each get sent to another plane of existence. They all had unusual enviroments, populated with strange creatures and music filled it constantly. It was because these universes were apparently based of single bands music, a worldly mannifestation of their style/sound/beliefs/etc. The contestants were an unlikely mixture, and the winner was the one who survived longest in the plane of existence chosen for them. The planes and contestants included...
1) A blue misty place where the land floats like islands through a cloudy-infinity. Colossal petrified theatrical masks dotted the landscape and weird suggestive scupltures converged in great twisted masses. Gangly creatures with ghostly or puppet-like movements wearing shadowy elizabethen (sp?) clothes populated this realm. It was based of electro band The Knife, a pretty young raven-haired lady was sent there.
2) A vast verdant wilderness filled with forests, gigantic flowers and mushrooms, sparkling oceans and azure-colored skies. Earth-like animals of large size and intelligence roved this realm, armed with vicous horns, tusks and bony protrusions. It was based of folk artist In Gowan Ring and a beardy forester/archery expert was sent there.
3) A disturbing analgamation of vascular (ie heart) systems and a grossly distorted city. The buildings writhed gently and strecthed unbelievably high into a sky blocked off by what appeared to be a huge shield of skin. Malformed howling ghouls scavenged on this world. Some of them wore violently contrasting tribal masks whilst others faces seemed to have blown open, from them erupting overly-long bony stalks. It was based of darkwave artist Wumpscut and a horribly scarred punk with a big red mohawk was sent there.
4) A bizarre cartoony parody of a london ghetto. The land had a constant curve to the horizon from any angle, giving the appearance that the world was technically smaller than it was. Big lanky men with big grinning teeth, huge dreadlocks swaggered around here, able to make rediculously huge guns and knives out of thin air. It was based of rapper Roots Manuva and some young police man with a gun was sent there.
5) A black and white that was an infinate dead forest. The only visible colour was crimson, the colour of the leaves on the few living trees and many streams that were flowing through it. Vicious barbaric warriors with ritualistically painted and scarred faces lurked here, as well as draconic canine beasts with crimson burning eyes. It was based of BM band 1349 and some white-haired blind girl was sent here.
The dream ended just when they were sent to the planes themselves. Its either a view of the future or a sign that I should stop reading webcomics...

The beating of Steve Tyler is clearly the subconscious representation of throwing golf clubs onto a roof.
