I like some Nile tunes, particularly the more recent 'Lashed To The Slave Stick' from AOTW. Karl seems like nice bloke in interviews, then again how he conducts himself to your average joe might be different from his mannerisms towards reporters and journalists.
He's probably an easy target in the same way Bal-Sagoth were an easy target for 'Da True-Dude Metal' types. Sadly anyone who tries something different in their territory will almost certainly meet criticism on all levels.
Frankly Nile are a vast improvement from the puerile Gore bands that name themselves after gross medical conditions and release albums with pointless titles like Necrobic God Blow-Job.
"Oooh look were being gross and controversial, pay us some undeserved attention..."
And even when everyone ignores them they keep on releasing more crap, each time getting more and more moronic and childish. They're consistent in the worst way imaginable
