Is anyone else still waiting on a subscription copy? Just wondering if that's been standard or I've been lost in the wash of the Post Office.

The two reasons I didn't renew my subscription A) No money B) Not overly interested in special limited edition releases by bands I have NEVER heard of and more likely than not will not like
Will renew for next issue :p
Picked up the new one, haven't had time to have a flick through yet.

It turned up. Cheers ZT people. I might comment some on it after having had a chance to read it thoroughly.

Really really good issue Vic Norseman's tips for avoiding the vegitizing results of the credit crunch were most helpful, also the woeful stupidity of that piece of Gates Of Janus article in the RADAR section cojoled a chucklelul out of me. Having an interview with both HR Giger AND Jello Biafra for me has got to be your greatest journalistic effort and achievement to date. 10/10 for you folks at ZT for that. I massively appreciated the Peripheral Vision section, not only for pointing out Dada's influence on the idea of undermining conservative views but also for introducing me to the Kill Your Timid Notion festival. To think an arty event I wasn't aware of Seeing as this is the first of a two part art special might I suggest an artist by the name of Banks Violette is a minimalist who creates very bleak and disrepaired installations of found materials and objects ( http://www.maureenpaley.com/maureenpale ... inside=521) One subject he always returns to is the subcultural impetus of norweigan Black Metalheads to allow fiction to engulf their reality, primarily concerning the arson attacks of churches and the murder of contempories. On a more universal point his works are influenced by teenage suicide and ritual violence. He has worked with bands in the past including Sunn 0))) in a piece entitled SunnO))) / (Repeater) Decay / Coma Mirror [2006] of which the Saatchi art gallery wrote; "Banks Violette’s Untitled takes as its origin a performance by the rock bank SunnO))) which the audience was allowed to hear, but not to see. Casting their stage equipment in salt, Violette’s Untitled comprises the only visual documentation of this event. Through its strange crystalline and ghostly presence, Untitled captures the lingering aura of ominous phenomena. Reminiscent of the biblical story of Sodom, Violettle’s contemporary ‘pillars’ of salt give aftermath testimony to forbidden indulgence. During SunnO)))’s performance, the lead singer was encased in a black coffin. Represented as a shard-like abstraction, an ebony form takes centre stage as a mysterious monument of dissolution." SunnO))) / (Repeater) Decay / Coma Mirror [2006]Hate Them [2004]Untitled [2005]Maybe i've gone a bit overboard but I really like this guys work.

You should do a feature on Viktor Safonkin. The man behind the artwork on Killing Joke's Hosannas... and October Files Holy Armour...
