I know the panel gives out a lot of 5.5 ratings, but I don't remember seeing any 6/6 rated album. I believe the Botch "We Are The Romans" reissue got a perfect 6/6 back in 07, deservingly of course. Are there any other albums that have been awarded perfect ratings ?

I don't think so. Or I will have missed them/it if so. It's fairly obvious why we don't generally give things perfect ratings - there's no such thing as perfection in anything in life (or death for that matter!). We also give out hardly any 5.5 ratings as well, for the same reason. I can say that I've never listened to a single album that doesn't contain something I'd change/remove/add in some way. I'm sure Lisa or someone else could give a better explanation/rationale for this than me though

Heh, well I can't help it I'm a drummer and there's always something I can find fault with even if it's only very minor. Even in my all-time favourite releases. Can be a problem sometimes but then these are the high standards we espouse here I think we strike exactly the right balance on the whole.
