Just out of interest, does anyone know where I can buy a hurdy gurdy from, and what kind of price range I'd be looking at. Ever since I heard it in Severance by Dead Can Dance I've loved the sound and always fancied trying to pick one up.

Nay worries! The same guy has a guide on how to make a hurdy gurdy from an old acoustic guitar body, seeing as you can pick these up for around a tenner in most of the charity shops around here, I'm going to be building one! Muhahaha. http://dennishavlena.com/hg-main.htm
