I love how everything is so matter of fact with Conservationist. Record labels have a pre-Christmas sale of 'classic' bands - it must mean the old-school (revival) is over! Long live the old-school; old-school is dead! Id love to order a few of those myself but Im under a self-imposed embargo, forbidding the purchase of all but essentials till I find a job. Hope the labels have some left then

Tales from 1000 Lakes is one of the best death metal albums ever and I will beat to death anyone who says otherwise except maybe Citizen Brutalist, as he's so death metal he probably has monsters from Cannibal Corpse album covers for arms and would probably beat me in a fist fight.
There's quite a few things on there I want but I'm already fuckin skint with buying shit!
Also, Citizen Conny, I know this is a personal question but I just think it would explain A LOT to everyone if you answered it - Was it an awkward affair when you lost your virginity? I can't imagine it having been a pleasant time.
Losing mine was awesome however as it involved lots and lots of bumming and Grand Theft Auto London on the Playstation 1.

To defend myself, my comment was an observation, not an insult to Citizen Conny. But Best Man is not quite correct, Tales From The Thousand Lakes is one of the best albums of all time. What a classic. Funny that, cos I was listening to some of it and Karelian Isthmus only this afternoon...

Relapse had ALL their CDs at half price not just the old-school death stuff (including Origin, Misery Index, Coliseum, Pig Destroyer... none of which would count as 'old school'), so your angle there is completely off the mark.

Dead Congregation + Diamanthian last night, both undeniably old school bands, was a gig better than any br00tal death gig I've been to in the last year or two. Piss poor turnout though
