I'm sorry that my first post on here has to be some sort of advertisement, but I do look forward to contributing since this seems like my mind of community. Anyway, I am putting on a "fest" this summer. Here's the info...

RBF Facebook group - http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=3 ... 334&ref=ts

Rainbow Bridge is my small record label in which I release a lot of limited editions of noise, ambient, drone, punk, folk, avant garde, experimental, etc. on mostly cassette, but also CD and in the future, vinyl. I've decided to put on a one-day fest in or near Baltimore this summer to feature some of these artists and others.

DATE IS TENTATIVE
LOCATION TBA

If you're interested in playing and you either live around Baltimore or are willing to travel for little money (as much as I can afford), send me an email at rainbowbridge@ifitmoveskissit.net with some links to your music and where you're from. A little about you would be nice, too.

I am mostly looking for artists similar to the ones I release music by but it can't hurt to contact me if you're not sure if you apply. I don't mean to sound like an elitist by any means (I am clearly not, I listen to all kinds of music) but I want to gather bands that are unique, against the grain, weird, noisy, obnoxious, out there, etc.

The fest won't generate profit for me or anyone. I may have to pay the venue and I will definitely be paying traveling artists as much as I can but there will be little to no money just because that is the nature of these shows, these types of music, etc.

Stay tuned to the Facebook event and over the course of the coming months I will be sure to update this section with info. There is no huge rush on everything because it will probably be in August, but I will at least have a several artists and a venue confirmed very soon. If anyone would like to help at the event, let me know. I'm sure I will need a few people taking care of odd jobs. I am not going to make this too much of an over-produced event, but with any big show, things can get a little hectic.
