I am a final year student at Southampton Solent University in England. I am studying Popular Music and Record Production. For my final year dissertation I am studying Norwegian Black Metal and how the media portrays this genre. My title is ‘An Investigation into Black Metal in Norway and Satanic Rituals’. To help me with my investigation I need to collect people’s opinions from a wide range of backgrounds. I would be very grateful if you could spare a few minutes of your time to answer my questionnaire.
Due to a limit of how many questions I am allowed on this survey website I have had to split the questionnaire into 2 parts. It is vital that if you wish to take part in this questionnaire that you take both parts 1 and 2 otherwise your results won't count.

Thank you for your responses, the idea of the questionnaire is to gather your own opinions...this is why the questionnaire may seem a little un-specific. I am using this part of my dissertation to gather people's views, so far this has been extremely successful, thank you all who have taken part so far

Done. But whats with the question 'Have you or anyone you know been affected by black metal'? Like people get affected by swine flu, economic collapse, ash clouds, snow storms, etc? I did answer it..but confusing question at best. Your tutor let you phrase it like that? The word 'affect' is a vague term and should not really be used to describe situations/events/stuff in a dissertation. I did mine under a genius, so I should know..
