I have a ton of other stuff that I can trade also. A lot that I haven't put into the computer.
Cassettes and whatnot. A fair amount of cdr's as well from people.

Well, it all depends on what I would be trading it for. I would trade just about anything for the a pressing of Forgotten Legends on vinyl.

I know Ive dealt with you Orion, but I just clear up things here with people - when we say 'trading', are we talking the style dark avenger is hinting at - i.e. physically sending one's actual copy of a record to someone in exchange for one back?? Or the style you and I Orion did in sending copies of selected albums to each other?? I would quite like to know

Let me clear this up. I am willing to trade physical copies and I assume that most would prefer to trade REAL copies. I would claim that trading real copies is the default. Most people here know me and I would never screw anyone over unintentionally especially since I have been a member here for over three years. As far as I am concerned, as long as everyone communicates their intentions and wants I don't foresee anything happening via this trading thread that couldn't be fixed should difficulties arise.
If I have something that you really do want but I will not trade it out, I will make a copy. Yes, there are things in my list that I would probably not trade unless in a very strange situation but I would make copies (especially of rare demos and whatnot).
All in all I am very open to all kinds of trading and I have done both. Everything listed is what I own physical copies of. If one wants a list of everything including copied stuff just email me and I will send that to you.
As far as my opinion on sending copied material back and forth, I think that this method of acquiring music is very much a important institution as far as metal goes and is much more personal and meaningful that downloading some random track. Its not bootlegging because none of the copies are intended for sale. Its just a friendly sharing of music via as thrash said - post.
I have positive feedback from the MA trade forum as well.

Let me also add that while I understand Reflector's valid points, remember that ZT claims no responsibility for what happens in this sub-forum. The Forum is merely a place for people to meet people interested in trading.
As far as the Artists are concerned, I think that the vast majority of musicians would appreciate the lengths that it takes to actually make copies and go to the post office and spread their music. Hell, if you can find it online and get it instantly, there is something profound to be said of those who are patient enough to get music in a way very much in line with the old spirit of tape trading.
Also, should anything arise where people are interested in trading copies, I would do that through a medium outside of the ZT Forum as I did with Thrash Maniac.
