Right as my first post I'd like some help please. I wanrt to go out in London have a drink or 2 and listen to some descent metal. Being stuck in the bland corner that is Kingston all I've found so far I am now thoroughly sick of. I was wondering if any of you know of somewhere of the weekend that plays to the heavier end of the market.
I reallly don't want to hear Chop Suey, Du Hast, Down with the Sickness, Halo e.t.c again in a club. I think that as there is a vibrancy and resurgence right now around Death metal there must be something out there. Is too much to ask for a night where they only play 2 actually heavy songs?
To give you an idea my favourite band at the moment incllude but aren't limited to Cryptopsy, Emperor,Entombed, Dark throne, Carcass, Unexcpect, Akercocke, Gorerotted, Pig Destroyer, Gorelord,Bretwaldas of Heathen Doom Blut aus Nord,Cumbeast, Belphegor, Irony of Christ, Cicle of Dead Children and many more but that should give you a fair idea.
So sorry to be a forum whore but I haven't had much success on my own so far.
So can you let me know of any descent metal nights in London?

The Electric Ballroom (Camden) has a room on... I think it's a Friday night. Rob Zombie and Rammstein in the main room, but go upstairs and it's nothing but Black, Death, Thrash, and old Heavy Metal.
Subterranean Hellnoise is on a Saturday at the Marlborough Head (just off Oxford Street. It's part of the Eerie Pub company, if you want to check out some other pubs). It's Black and Death Metal, and then once a month some writers from a shit magazine come and stick their oars in (it's a Terrorizer sponsored night, boo hiss)
There's also the Devonshire Arms, just off the main street in Camden. It's primarily a goth pub, but they do Metal nights too. It's always a good place to go, regardless of what they're playing.
Garlic & Shots is decent, but tiny (the bar downstairs is literally the size of a small public toilet). It's near Covent Garden, but I can't remember how to get there... There's also a Cock Rock club off Oxford Street that I only know how to get to by sight.

Safe that's all fuel for the fire.

Music that doesn't only communicate in levels off pain and hatred?

...music that communicates with a hot groin, and an urge to splurge
