So yeah, i baught a pirate copy, not too bad quality ovisouly filmed in some american cinema and a tad to the right (in the sense that some of the left hand side of the screen was missing)...
I understood that there wouldnt be much of the cybertonian life forms on screen as they cost fuck knows how much in CGI. Also i found that the decepticons didint have much scipt, i mean the autobots would have more but really i think the decepticons all toghter had like 5 lines at the most?
As my dvd was pirate it wasnt picture perfect but from what i saw the CGI werent that bad....
..... what was gay about it was it was literaly like Bad Boys II expect with robots, Shia Laboef who plays sam witikey (for thoose cool people out there, thats basically "Spike") seem to crack out loads of bad american "trying to impress" rambling nonesense..... also there was a lot of brutha-lovin humour which was rubbish!
In all honesty, i really think this film could have been "Good" or "Darn good" if Micheal Bay DID NOT produce it and have the script in some parts the way it was. Think about it, the only way this film would be good would be by having more time with the autobots/decepticons, no gay urban ethnic loving jokes, less CGI and more animatronics. To be perfect it would have been based in the 80s with all of what i mentioned.
I might still watch it at the cinema because unlike the "Doom" movie (which was another thing as you all know im a massive fan of and was really looking forward to the movie .... then was completly disapointed!) it stuck to the orignal facts really (i.e. like having a matrix of leadership is the allspark) where as the Doom movie was NOTHING to do with hell, just a shitty resident evil film on mars (not even on fucking phobos!!).
Eitherway, it just made me realise how damn good the Transformers concept and cartoon series really are, how damn action packed they are for a kids show, so much that i still love it till this day.
In all honesty, i don't think this film will do too well, i dont even think the kids will like it (untill the last hour i.e when the action kicks in).
Just thought you would all like to know what i thought... i tried to watch the film with an open mind rather than seeing it as a "Transformers film" .... i would say its a film for a rainy day or something to keep you entertained, not for a darn good watch ( say like AVP - its entertaining, but it aint a good film!).

You should rent the final fantasy anime series. If only for the monster sumoning scenes with Kaze and the Magun.

There's already a Transformers movie! It's got Orson Welles in it!
It's all about the Simpsons movie anyway. Although it really should be President Wolfcastle, not Schwarzenegger.

Urban legend, it's long since been confirmed that Orson did all of Unicron, despite how much he hated it.
"I play a big toy in some Japanese film about toys that do horrible things to eachother."
He didn't even know the name of the character he was playing. But then again, at the state he was in at that point in his career, it was amazing he knew who he was.
All he lived for in the end was food.
Quite ironic that his second to last role was a gigantic thing that ate gigantic things.

Also, not that I am calling your opinion and credibility into question, Tom, my dear, but various other people whose intelligence I respect have said that the film was Pretty Bloody Good.
