Has anybody noticed the sudden onslaught of bear related issues to have occured in the past few weeks? First that teacher is imprisoned in Sudan for naming a teddy bear Mohammed. Secondly John West sell their reserve red salmon with a tiny soft toy version of the famous kung fu grizzly. And finally Mark Wallinger wins the 2007 Turner Prize with his video of himself traversing a cityscape dressed as a bear.

^ Don't you get the feeling that Grumpy Bear would be about as popular with the rest of the carebears as Set was with the Egyptian gods?
