The most metal books ever:
* , Louis-Ferdinand Celine * , Michel Houellebecq * , Ernest Hemingway * , William S. Burroughs * , Don Delillo * , Joseph Conrad * , Bret Easton Ellis * , Tom Wolfe * , Herman Melville * , Georges Bataille * , Aldous Huxley
These books are metal in spirit and topic, and should keep you reading for awhile. If you haven't read all of them, you might consider it, since most of this list is essential for current cultural literacy anyway. Fiction only.
Any others? I know you deviants will have some to contribute.

Teatro Grottesco by Thomas Ligotti would make a fantastic theme for a dark ambient project. All those hideous shadows behind frosted glass, floating glassy-eyed puppets and circus ringmasters who never show their face.

About 90% of metal is middle class white kids with long hair trying to be cool, so I'd say the secret diary of Adrian Mole is pretty fucking metal.

Having just re-read Crash, following JG Ballard's death, I reckon it'd have an appeal in a power electronics setting. Trainspotting too, I s'pose. And GX Jupitter-Larsen has just had his novel 'Sometimes Never' published, which captures the aesthetics of noise in words. http://www.crossingchaos.com/Sometimes_ ... arsen.html

Denial of the pervasive informational patterns in reality leads us to blame, resentment, and ultimately collapse. If you look out your window and see a collapsing civilization, here's how to recognize the problem and fix it.

Peter Reading's "C" is essentially the printed lyrics to Carcass' Reek Of Putrefaction.

I don't know about "reads like metal sounds" as that 'does not compute' with me but I'll give it a shot anyway
I know toss all about fiction so it'll have to be factual...
Adam Smith - The End Of Faith Richard Dawkins - The God Delusion (surely THE most metal non-fiction?) Nietzche (could never spell his name right)
plus you could always put a Noam Chomsky book down as being the literary equivalent of any intelligent political metal band out there.
Anyway, surely it's a given that HP Lovecraft, Tolkein and Dante Alighieri's 'Inferno' are the most METUHL!!! \m/ of literary works by default?
