Looks like it got potential.

I know i'm a negative person and probably everyone is going to be monkey spaffing themselves just because of who the director is and the content.
But lets look at he plot, its AvP without the A pretty much, 'its a reserve and we're the game.'
Lets look at the visual aspect, some of the predators look like they had they're features changed beyond what would be classed as acceptable!
They're is some predator hybrid dog thing?! That is just so wrong!
And by the looks of things, they're must be around 10 predators against a bunch of humans, film be done in 30 seconds?!

Has anyone seen The Magdalene Sisters or On A Clear Day?

I watched them both last night for first time in a couple years. Really moving and brilliantly done films both of them, I really recommend watching them if you haven't already

Saw 'Predators' the other day, was fantastic, it's like none of the AvP stuff ever happened!!

Went to the cinema for the first time in well over a year the night before yesterday after some friends convinced me to come with them to see Knight and Day. Bad bad choice, like being slapped in the face with the swinging cock of Hollywood, whilst paying for the privilege to sit there and tolerate it. Truly horrible.

On the other hand, watched Funny Games (1997) last night, which was enjoyable, though a little too desperate to get across Haneke's 'society is super-sadistic' messages. I don't mind some social meaning behind a film, but I don't want to be almost directly lectured for watching violence within the same film that's rubbing my face in it. And a 10 minute single shot in which fucking NOTHING happens, which is clearly meant to be artistic, or revel in the moment, but just doesn't. It's boring when nothing moves.

Still, good film.

Sure some of you might recall the intro from PlanetTerror, not long to wait!
Trajo, DeNiro, Alba, Rodriguez, Lohan, Seagal....badasses, babes, guns and blades O0



On a slightly different note, Arononfsky (sp) got a new film, looks interesting but not fully convinced, other than Natalie Portman and lesbian scenes aside;

Mansell doing soundtrack so that is good!

Anyone seen The Illusionist? From a script by Jacques Tati that never made it to screen. Really enjoyed it

Have managed to go the cinema for the past two days for both ends of the cinema spectrum, first up the re-released/extended version of Metropolis and tonight...Piranha 3D!!!

At teh risk of getting mocked, is Wall-E all it's made out to be?

It was on (freaking loud) at work today on the blu ray display screen and I was either incredibly bored or zonked out of my head cause I was like a cat after a string every time I walked past it...

Don't think I'm even remotely tempted to actually part with money for it, just wonderin if it's worth watching.
