If you enjoy Hannibal don't bother with the film!!!
Last film I watched was Iron Maiden:Flight 666, it is great!

Brilliant news. Credit Crunch has stopped the Michael Bay remake of Suspiria. I've just watched Mr Smith Goes To Washington. Been on a bit of a James Stewart run of it recently. Still like this film, not as good as Harvey but what is?

finally got round to watching The Fall - i thought it was fucking great, the images alone made it worth watching (the story was pretty awesome too)
also watched The Wrestler last night - Micky rourke is genius in this & Aronofsky is a God (IMHO)

The Wrestler (Darren Aronofsky, 2009)
I enjoyed it. Not the heart-rending tale that some reviews make it out to be (I actually found quite a lot of it very funny, although that's possibly more from the absurdity of the entire pro-wrestling environment than anything else). Rourke makes a nice job of being endearingly bemused for most of the running time, the confusion amplified by heavy use of jiggling handheld camera work, but the surprise acting comes from the actual wrestlers used as Randy 'The Ram' Robinson's opponents. The DVD extras show characters like Dylan 'Necro Butcher' Summers to be surprisingly lucid and aware individuals which, in a way, partially negates the point of the film...
Trans-Siberian (Brad Anderson, 2008)
The director of The Machinist takes Emily Mortimer, Woody Harrelson and Ben Kingsley on a twist-laden thriller across Russia on the eponymous train? A recipe for success? Well, no...not really. The twists are even more obvious than the ending of The Machinist and the fairly standard, hidden-drugs-switcheroo plot is pedestrian. The superb shots of landscape sliding by (somewhat undermined by the admission that none of it was actually shot in Siberia) make the film nice to look at but it's a little more than a middling time-passer.

Fuck me, my sister was hysterical at the end of that film. It took all the willpower I had to not blub with her.
