I had to change my name to something more sensible. Rex Fortune, Adventure Seeker, was not getting me laid.

One of my best friends little sisters name is Arian. even though their mom is not racist. I once asked her why she named her daughter that and she had no idea it was a "white pride" thing...
Stupidity can be lethal sometimes...
Still I can't see why kids would be taken away from a family for Nazi beliefs. As retarded as they are there is nothing that says the kids are in jeopardy.
No different than taking someone's kids away for being Catholic.

I agree. I think putting those kids up for adoption is a bit extreme. Ironic

Could it be that those names are liable to cause harm to the children because of peoples reactions? They've got very little chance of not being isolated and picked on at school because of those names. Parents will tell kids they're bad names and the children will lash out without full unerstanding so no chance of a defence.
Rhere was a famous study done in the states ages ago that showed that teling teachers pupils will fail has a large impact on how they teach them and the success they'll have in life. So such controversial names could well enforce poverty on the kids. Irritatingly I can't remember the name of the study or who the authors were. Was linked with the expectation x and y manamgement theory stuff. Just done on an extreme scale.

While I would agree with you about them being picked on, I still see nothing detrimental to the welfare of them.
A kid will pick on another kid regardless, it's part of life. However to remove a kid from a parent for naming him that would be no better than for naming him Engelbert.
:edit: On another hand, if no one makes an issue out of the kids middle name he would simply be named Adolf and no one would be the wiser...

Me and my 2 other brothers all share the same middle name. Quineten. Oh yes, as camp as you like. People like Tarintino are Heros amongst the unfortunate as myself.

Personally I wish I had a more interesting name. I have to confess (it may sound silly to some of you) buts its something i've always been worried about. The normality of my name. Ben Andrew Harris I might as well be called Mr Man Smith Anonymous. There was loads of people called Ben when I worked at Sainsburys. However I suppose its better to start of with a normal name and then (if you choose to do so later) get it changed. I certainly wouldn't name one of my kids Aryan Nation

My name is Chris... That is just about as common as Bob where I'm from.
At least I have quite a unique last name, so it balances out.
