I hope to wake up one day and see a news story that some American corporation 'invented' this style to sell it to gullible and impressionable kids like these two featured here. Am I showing my age by saying how ridiculous everything about this Japanese 'fashion' looks??

Its political correctness gone mad!  (sorry)To be fair Trout made a good point. I'm sure many of us look like loony-bins. They're just kids having fun. I certainly have the whole chavvy trousers + trampy trainers + Patches McBarfjacket combo look going on, those of you who are familiar with recent photographs of me can testify.

Trouty does have a good point to which I have no perfect answer except that we only oogle over piccies of our BM superheroes rather than dress like them ourselves (well, I don't at least  )
