Go to Citizen's Advice bureau and ask about setting up a small business. I'm considering doing something similar but for a book shop

Make your shop look like an old library.
CD shops are rubbish, no character, same with book shops, only succesful independant ones are those that look like the inside of some Earls house.

ever go to robs records in nottingham? it lokks like a dingy cellar inside. the records are kept in piles and theres mould on the wall. its great for a bargain.

Rather pointless unfortunately, the rise of downloading, both legal and illegal, has meant only the big names like HMV can survive nowadays, that and the fact that Metal is a limited market.

1) Find an empty store near a fish and chip shop.
2) Piss in the doorway, never clean it up. 3) Put a Dragon Force poster in a window so people will know you are cool. 4) Profit!
