Yeah the musicians bit is very handy as the majority of Guitar mags only focus on popular artists or stretch to Pantera/Slipknot for Metal! I t will be good to see Death or Black Metal bands give some advice for those of us to want to play the really heavy stuff!!

I bought issue 2, it seems a like a good read again.
A few of the album reviews are out of date, but that's always going to be the case with a bi-monthly publication.

Regarding the new Enslaved album "Isa", I almost failed to notice it was reviewed at all. Surely an album/ band such as this deserved a bigger profile ? The Behemoth and Vader albums [bog standard DM] seem to have gained a bigger profile in the reviws.

The same applies to the ISIS album.
Not really moaning, just an observation really.

agreed on enslaved, but their press was handled in a slightly hit and miss way and we received a promo minus any artwork or the like to run with the review - and got the promo late in the day. etc. so it would have been difficult to feature anything more - unfortunately.

with isis, i know that they're championed by a lot of other magazines and the review was a good score in ZT, so taking this into account and the hype that the band has already had elsewhere, we decided to give other bands a share of space.

I like the mag, I picked it up because of the Napalm Death line on the front. I have previously heard about five other bands mentioned in it, and have heard of no more than about twenty. Im quite enjoying discovering lots of new heavy music, so chances are i'll pick up ZT regularly to keep on top of albums and gigs.

Because I work in print, I actually quite liked the finish of the book too, the glued spine and all. Y'know, compared to the fold and stapled fare. Hmmm. Time for me to get a new job then.
