The metal warriors return to our shores for two dates with another dose of heavy metal in support of their new album “The Art of War”. Sabaton are one of the best live bands in the metal scene, giving their all to each performance. If you won’t be raising your fist in the air by the end of the gig, you are not metal!!!

4 November – Glasgow, Ivory Blacks (local support CONCEPT OF TIME)
5 November – London, Purple Turtle (local support TBC)

Recorded in the famous Abyss Studios with both Tommy and Peter Tägtgren, the new album was released in March 2008. This time it is based on an ancient book called “The Art of War” which was written 600 years B.C. by a Chinese general, so a great amount of research was made.

With a heavier sound, much more powerful songs and fantastic new artwork, the album “The Art of War” is another masterpiece from this Swedish band.

“The best traditional metal album for 2008 arrived. If there is a band who can ignite again the fire of heavy metal scene, then it is Sabaton!”
10/10, Kristof Hartmann, Hammer World Magazine

“With this great new album Sabaton will climb a little bit closer to the true metal throne!”
9/10, Frank Albrecht, Rock Hard Magazine

“An awesome metal album with a high class production!”
7/7, Andreas Schowe, Metal Hammer Magazine

Those who have already seen the Grailknights in battle know that it is a feast for ears and eyes. A visual firework combined with formidable battlehymns, the show is very much interactive with the audience. Nevertheless one should take nothing more than a winking look at the show, as the music is the spotlight and the main reason for uncoutable positive feedback and a constantly growing number of fans!

INTENSE CONFIRMED AS SUPPORT FOR SABATON IN LONDON

The UK power metallers Intense have been confirmed as the opening act for the Sabaton show in London Purple Turtle on 5 November 2008. Main support comes from Grailknights.

Intense, currently signed to Napalm Records, have released their second album “As Our Army Grows” (produced by Karl Groom and Richard West from Threshold) last year. The release saw the band getting much critical acclaim from all over the globe with over 100 interviews requested.

Intense have shared the stage with bands such as Evergrey, Sonata Arctica, Skyclad, Leatherwolf, Finntroll, Orphaned Land, Children of Bodom and Epica amongst others. Well known for their full on live show, the band have taken time out from writing for their 3rd album to hit the stage once again.

The jump from Second Sight to As Our Army Grows is about as significant as Metallica going from Kill Em All to Ride the Lightning. The skill level and song-writing has improved massively, and Intense have found their own sound.
Demonzone, UK

Powerful songs, gripping riffs and rhythms, immense vocals... one of the strongest examples of how a modern Power Metal band should sound. Tight, punchy, dynamic and exciting, INTENSE have certainly raised the bar of excellence and musicianship...
Metal Invader, Greece

...a very well achieved mix of US influenced Power Metal, with a bit of Maiden in the melodies and a lot of progressive structures...I highly recommend this one in the hope their army will indeed grow. They certainly deserve so with this fine album.
Rock Heavy Loud, Portugal

Releases:
Dark Season EP- Full Volume Records, Second Sight - Underground Symphony,
As Our Army Grows-Napalm Records
