MoD are better than Shining on the grounds that their singer doesn't pose with his sleeves rolled up so that everyone can get a really good look at his unimpressive collection of scars, the attention seeker.

New Palehorse album, quality it is!

It's The Bees Made Honey only even more laid back, even more trippy, and now with a celloist.
So it's EXCELLENT!

What's the new Palehorse like, last thing I got from them was Habitual Linestepper, which is looooovely!


Also, the new Burzum - It's very... happy. It's the only word I can use to describe it.
I listened to it twice last night on the huge surround sound headphones and enjoyed it a lot.

Nowhere near as much as I'm loving Mirror of Deception or Earth, mind <3

I too got the new Earth album. My first introduction to their music and it's awesome, though I'm yet to listen to it under the influence of narcotics which I imagine to increase it's yield yet further.

And while I haven't actually got it myself yet, I've been meaning to check the split they did with SUNN O))) for years, as I'm told the Earth side is amazing.


The new Electric Wizard- Currently shaking my head at all the (weirdly enough, mostly 17 year old Americans) saying how shit it is and how they used to be amazing and now they sound like a band trying to sound like Electric Wizard and how they don't make "interesting" music anymore.

The only changes I've noticed is that there are more rhyming verses.

Mirror of Deception - Loving the bonus disk. Some old stuff, a St Vitus cover, a Bathory cover, and a re-make of the old song Mirror of Deception with new tongue-in-cheek lyrics of them saying how long they've been going and cheers for buying the new album.

As for the first disk- Lovely, lovely traditional doom metal.

Wank cover aside, loving the new Burzum to bits.

Old BM bands trying to capture the old sound should just do a Varg.

No disrespect to anyone at ZT but if they interview Varg again I hope they don't fill 10000% of the page with OMFG HE'S A BAD MAN WITH QUESTIONABLE OPINIONS again (I am, obviously, massively exagerrating, but you wouldn't think an interview with Varg would have the reader rolling their eyes at the interviewer would you?)
