Was talking to a member of mistress (not not Drunk, before you ask, Lisa) on wednesday night, and he suggested that Zero Tolerance sounded like a white power magazine.

a "zero tolerance approach" can be applied to lots of things. just do a search on google for "zero tolerance" and you'll find it's used in all sorts of diverse situations. mostly its used to describe the strict enforcement of some sort of law or rule.
the mag is nothing to do with "white power" or anything like that, which i think is obvious anyway. the name "zero tolerance" could just as easily be used for an anti-"white power" magazine...

Fluffy-Extreme music for extreme people.....
Holding Hands- The new extreme music mag......
When I first picked up the mag (and even with Darkthrone on the cover) it did not cross my mind it could be a white power magazine....
its an extreme metal magazine, so needed a name to reflect this......
I think most people will take it as zero tolerance against lame music and not an outlet for comedy values......

so it's obviously generating some controversy and interest, which can only be a good thing, cos as soon as you take one look inside the mag it's clear what it's all about - extreme music and nothing much besides (except demolitions..... mhm )

Terrorizer - sounds like a vandal or hooligan
Metal Hammer - sounds like a DIY implement
Kerrang! - sounds like a magazine for the dyslexic
If anything at all, Zero Tolerance just reminds me of the slogan adopted by anti-domestic violence campaigns about 5 or so years ago...

"yeah right but i can't imagine anyone immediately associating that phrase with anti-white power."
like i said, do a search on google, search for "zero tolerance" and you'll find its 99.9% positive stuff. this phrase is used A LOT (almost exclusively) when talking about enforcing rules, laws and whatnot. e.g. zero tolerance for sexism, crime, racism, etc. as far as i know (i'm no expert, thankfully), it's not used as a white power slogan.
if you are immediately jumping to such conclusions over the phrase "zero tolerance" then maybe it says more about you than it does about our magazine.
