What wins this dubious honour for you?

In fact, name two songs, 1) it has to have been a good song in the first place, 2) it was always shit but you never knew what the fuss was all about.

Maybe internet metal radio over played it, or the DJ at your local rock club ... or people chummed it so hard on the juke box in the local boozer that you now can't stand it.

Easy. I am a twatty dj.

Down with the sickness.

closely followed by....

Freak on a leash, chop suey, smells like teen spirit, killing in the name of and break stuff

The reason they are overplayed, is because they do everything a dancefloor rock / metal track should do. In a sense they are the pinnacle of commercial rock / metal and should be commended for being so damn catchy and good to dance to when you are pissed.

I've been djing and going to rock clubs since the early 90's though, so I could gladly never hear them again.

2. Chop Suey by System of a Down for shit song that I never knew what all the fuss was about. That song is horrible.

KISS -Rock and Roll all Nite. One of the ones where I'm not sure if it ever was good or if excessive air play ran it into the ground.

At least where I live, two pretty great Judas Priest songs, "Living After Midnight" and "You've Got Another Thing Comin'" were so overplayed that they lost all meaning, especially when there are so many great songs in Priest's catalog. I can't stand to listen to those two anymore.
